A question for the devs, but are there any plans to release anything other than just the standard edition game? There was a post about the magnets from the Star Trek cruise, and merch like these made more widely available would be great.
Also something like a PS4 theme would be great, or even making the character avatars that are here on the forum available to use as avatars for our PSN accounts (and I presume XBox and Epic accounts have avatars as well?) would be amazing!
No major game has released a PS4 theme in maybe two-ish years or so, so I reckon myself Sony gave up on them cos there are no themes on the PS5, and developers followed suit. Like there’s been none for the sequels to God of War, Horizon or Jedi for example. Best option you have is to just take a screenshot from the game and make it a custom theme, sadly. I did that with one of the Doctor Who games from Maze Theory of the TARDIS Control Room.
Profile pics are a bit better though. You can change it to anything you want on the PS App, so you can just download an avatar from here onto your phone and there you go.
There were sadly never released outside of the US/North America PS Store, but these AMAZING dynamic ST themes were made and it still makes me SO MAD they didn’t get an international release.
@MadeIndescribable im hoping the devs do read this as im feeling much like yourself with physical, special or collectors editions. An art book or spec book on the Resolute would be cool too
@USSEnterprise It’s shame, but I guess it makes sense about the themes. I was definitely dissappointed when I realised I couldn’t put a theme on my PS5 (sounds silly compared to all the other ways it’s an upgrade though, I know 
). There are (were?) a couple of STO themes which I downloaded, but the ones in that video look much better.
@LtCmdrMcDaid Yeah, I can understand this is a big license for a first time studio, but as the first big, fully accessible (ie, not VR) Star Trek game in quite a while I really am hopeful that the initial launch is just the beginning, and that it’s popularity can help show there’s a desire for more.
Yeah, the STO ones were fairly shoddy. Bewildering that those dynamic ones for TOS and TNG were never released internationally, they’d have made a fortune with them.
